Melissa Bender is a Toronto-based artist who is currently completing her fourth year at OCAD University.

Working primarily with marker on paper, Melissa's drawings are based on the blind-contour practice of making marks without looking at the page. This approach allows for happy accidents and unexpected results, which serve as the means for communicating unconscious fears and desires.

Melissa will be participating in the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition for the first time this summer.
